ಮೈಸೂರು,ಮೇ,26,2021(www.justkannada.in): ಕೊರೊನಾ ಕಾರ್ಮೋಡ ಕವಿದಿರುವ ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಬುದ್ಧನ ಸಂದೇಶ ತಲುಪುವಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಫಲವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪಾಯ, ಸವಾಲು ಎದುರಾಗಿದೆ. ಬುದ್ಧ ಬಯಸಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವ ಇನ್ನೂ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಬುದ್ಧನ ವಿಚಾರಧಾರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮೈಗೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾದ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವ ವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ.ಜಿ. ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
2565ನೇ ಬುದ್ಧ ಪೂರ್ಣಿಮೆ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಡಾ.ಬಿ.ಆರ್.ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ‘ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಸಮಾಜದ ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬುದ್ಧ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಆನ್‌ ಲೈನ್ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರೊ.ಜಿ. ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, ಎಲ್ಲರ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಗೆಲ್ಲುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಉತ್ತಮ ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಬುದ್ಧ ನಾಂದಿ ಹಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ, ಮಾನವ ನಿರ್ಮಿತ ವೈರಾಣು ಜಗತ್ತನ್ನೇ ಸ್ತಬ್ಧಗೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಎಷ್ಟು ಕ್ರೂರ ಮನಸುಗಳಿವೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಅರ್ಥವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಮಾನವ ಹೊರ ಬರಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕಿವಿ ಮಾತು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಸನ್ಮಾರ್ಗದೆಡೆ ಸಾಗಲು ಬುದ್ಧನನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಅವರು ಬೋಧಿಸಿದ ಪಂಚಶೀಲ, ಅಷ್ಟಾಂಗ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳು, ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಸತ್ಯಗಳು ಜೀವನದ ಸೆಲೆಯಾಗಬೇಕು. ಬುದ್ಧರ ಬಹುದೊಡ್ಡ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ನೈತಿಕತೆಯೊಂದೇ ಈಗ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಬೇಕಿದೆ,’ ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಈ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ವರ್ಷದಿಂದಲೇ ಬುದ್ಧನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ, ಸ್ನಾತಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬುದ್ಧನ ಅಧ್ಯಯನವನ್ನು ಐಚ್ಛಕ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಪ್ರೊ.ಜಿ.ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೌದ್ಧ ಬಿಕ್ಕು ಡಾ.ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಸಿರಿ ಭಂತೇಜಿ , ಕುಲಸಚಿವ ಪ್ರೊ.ಆರ್.ಶಿವಪ್ಪ, ಪ್ರೊ.ಜೆ.ಸೋಮಶೇಖರ್ ಮತ್ತಿತರರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

Mysuru, May 26, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): “Bhagwan Buddha’s thoughts have failed to reach the world which is presently facing the Coronavirus, and the society is facing danger and challenge. Democracy which was the dream of Buddha has still not been created. Hence, it has become inevitable every one of us needs to adopt his thoughts,” opined Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore.
He inaugurated a special online lecture program on the topic, “Buddha’s Consciousness for the health of present society,” organized by the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Research Center, University of Mysore, on the occasion of 2565 Buddha Poornima today. In his address, he said, “Buddha had won the hearts of all the people in the world. But a virus that is not visible to the naked eye created by human beings today has made the entire world stop. We should understand how cruel hearts exist on this earth. Human beings should come out of this,” he added.
Dr. Kalyana Siri Banteji, Registrar Prof. R. Shivappa, Prof. J. Somashekar, and others were present.
