CM BSY orders to set-up Veerashaiva-Lingayat Development Corporation

Bengaluru, Nov. 17, 2020 (www.justkannada.in): Following pressure by own party members including DCM Lakshman Savadi, Minister V. Somanna, B.C. Patil and others Chief Minister B.S. Yedyurappa has issued orders for establishment of the Veerashaiva-Lingayath Development Corporation.
It can be recalled here that the State Government had proposed to set up a Maratha Development Authority in the State, two days ago. Former Home Minister M.B. Patil had written a detailed letter to CM B.S. Yedyurappa just a day ago demanding establishment of Lingayath Development Corporation and provide 16 per cent reservation for Lingayath community.
It appears CM B.S. Yedyurappa has yielded to the pressure and issued orders to establish the Lingayath Development Corporation, but has not disclosed about grants.
