ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಆ.೦೬,೨೦೨೬ : ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರಯ್ಯ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ(ವಿಟಿಯು) ನಿಯೋಗವು ಇತ್ತೀಚಿಗೆ ಕಾರವಾರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನೌಕಾ ನೆಲೆಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ನೌಕಾ ನೆಲೆಯ ಜತೆಗೆ ಸಹಯೋಗ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಕುರಿತು ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಸಿತು.

ವಿಟಿಯು ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ.ಎಸ್.ವಿದ್ಯಾಶಂಕರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಏರೋಸ್ಪೇಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ವಿಭಾಗದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಡಾ.ಕಮಾಂಡರ್ ದೇವೇಂದ್ರ ಸಿಂಗ್, ಫ್ಲಾಗ್ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ನೌಕಾ ನೆಲೆಯ ಆಫೀಸರ್ ಕಮಾಂಡಿಂಗ್ ರಿಯಲ್ ಅಡ್ಮಿರಲ್ ವಿಕ್ರಂ ಮೆನನ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ನೌಕಾ ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ.ಎಸ್.ವಿದ್ಯಾಶಂಕರ್, “ಸ್ವದೇಶಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿತ ಮಿಲಿಟರಿ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಉಪಕರಣಗಳು, ನೌಕಾ ನೆಲೆ ಎದುರಿಸುವ ಸವಾಲುಗಳು ಕುರಿತು ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ನೌಕಾ ನೆಲೆಯ ಜತೆಗೆ ವಿಟಿಯು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದಾದ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತುಕತೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು” ಎಂದರು.

ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಭಾರತೀಯ ನೌಕಾ ಸೇನೆಯ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ(ಸಿಎಸ್‌ಒ) ಕಮೋಡೋರ್ ಸಿ.ಕೆ.ಕರ್ಮಕರ್ ಇದ್ದರು.

VTU Delegation Visits Naval Base at Karwar

Bengaluru: A delegation from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) recently visited the naval base at Karwar to discuss possible collaboration between the university and the naval establishment.

VTU Vice-Chancellor Prof. S. Vidyashankar, along with Dr. Commander Devendra Singh, Director of the Aerospace and Defence Division, met Flag Officer Commanding Karnataka Naval Area, Rear Admiral Vikram Menon, at the base.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Vidyashankar said, “Discussions were held on indigenous military technology-based equipment and the challenges faced by the naval base. We also explored the possibility of an academic partnership between VTU and the naval establishment.”

Commodore C.K. Karmakar, Chief Staff Officer (CSO) of the Indian Navy, was also present during the meeting.
