Row over MUDA Commissioner’s post: HC pulls curtains down: Orders G.T. Dinesh Kumar to swear-in after May 4

Mysuru, March 24, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): The Hon’ble High Court has pulled the curtains down for the row over Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Commissioner’s post by ordering G.T. Dinesh Kumar to take over as the MUDA Commissioner after May 4.
The High Court has issued orders directing G.T. Dinesh Kumar to take over charge as MUDA Commissioner after May 4, after the two-year term of the present MUDA Commissioner Dr. D.B. Natesh ends.
Dr. D.B. Natesh had taken charge as the MUDA Commissioner on May 2, 2020. Though he was transferred twice during this term, he was successful in retaining his power.
KAS officer G.T. Dinesh Kumar had taken charge as the MUDA Commissioner on January 18. But as Dr. D.B. Natesh’s transfer orders were canceled he continued as the Commissioner. Hence, G.T. Dinesh Kumar was not shown any post.
As a result of this G.T. Dinesh Kumar appealed in court. The Hon’ble High Court after hearing issued orders on March 21. The term of the present Commissioner of MUDA Dr. D.B. Natesh will end on May 3. G.T. Dinesh Kumar can take over charge on May 4 as per the court orders.
