Increasing air pollution: Schools-colleges closed in Delhi

New Delhi, November 17, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Due to the serious air pollution, all the schools and colleges in New Delhi have been asked to close till the issue of further orders.
The quality of air in New Delhi has deteriorated, creating a serious condition. As a result of this, a partial lockdown kind of situation has been created in India’s capital city.
In an emergency meeting held yesterday, the Delhi government decided to shut all the schools and colleges in New Delhi till the issue of further orders.
Apart from this, Government and private offices have been asked to work with only 50% staff attendance as a precautionary measure, and the other 50% have been asked to work from home. These measures will be in force till November 21. Except for the trucks that transport essential goods, entry of all other trucks into Delhi has been prohibited. Instructions have also been given to stop all construction activities across Delhi, till November 21.
About 11 thermal power units that exist in a 300 km radius of New Delhi have also been asked to shut down.
