ಮೈಸೂರು ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್,22,2023(www.justkannada.in): ಊಹಾ-ಪೋಹ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಮಾಡುವುದೇ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರತೆಯಾ ? ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಊಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಸುದ್ದಿ ಮಾಡುವವರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿರುವುದು ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಎಂದು ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅವರು ಬೇಸರ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರ ಸಂಘದ ನೂತನ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಭವನ ಮತ್ತು ತರಬೇತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಶಂಕುಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ಸಂವಿಧಾನ ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸದೇ ಹೋದರೆ, ಅವರನ್ನೂ ನೀವು ಗೌರವದಿಂದ ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಮಾಜದ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ಅಂಗ ಅಂತ ಕರೆಯೋಕೆ ಆಗ್ತದಾ? ವಸ್ತುನಿಷ್ಠ ಸುದ್ದಿ-ಸತ್ಯದ ವರದಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸಮಾಜಮುಖಿಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಅಸಮಾನತೆ ಯಾಕಿನ್ನೂ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿದೆ, ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಮಾತಾಡುವವರೂ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಂಥವರಿಂದ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗುವ ಹಾನಿಯನ್ನು ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರು ವಿಶ್ಲೇಷಿಸಿ ಬರೆಯಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕಿವಿಮಾತು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಇವತ್ತು ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರತೆ ಇಲ್ಲವಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿರುವುದು ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯಕಾರಿ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ. ಸಣ್ಣ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳ ತವರೂರು ಮೈಸೂರು ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಪರತೆಗೆ ಹೆಸರಾಗಿತ್ತು ಎಂದರು.
ಓದುಗರು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕುತೂಹಲ, ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರತೆ ಇಲ್ಲವಾಗಿದ್ದೇ ಕಾರಣ. ನನ್ನ ಕಾರಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಾಗೆ ಕುಳಿತದ್ದನ್ನೂ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಮಾಡ್ತೀರಿ, ಚರ್ಚೆ ಮಾಡ್ತೀರಿ. ಕಾಗೆ ಕುಳಿತರೆ ನಿಮಗೇನು ನಷ್ಟ? ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೇನು ನಷ್ಟ ಎಂದು ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದರು.
ಗಂಡ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಜಗಳ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಮಾಡ್ತೀರಲ್ಲಾ ಅದರಿಂದ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಏನು ಪ್ರಯೋಜನ? ಇಂಥದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ಟೋರಿ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜನ ಕುತೂಹಲ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇನ್ನೇನಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ನಾನು ಶಂಕುಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಭವನ ಮತ್ತು ತರಬೇತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ವವನ್ನು ನಾನೇ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದ ಅವರು ಅಗತ್ಯ ನೆರವು ನೀಡುವುದಾಗಿ ಸಿಎಂ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

Is it professional to make speculative news?
Mysore, December 22: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah asked whether it is professional to make speculative news and expressed his regret that making news out of assumptions has been increased and it is a bad development.
He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for the Pathrika Bhavana and Training Center of the District Journalists Association.
If the opponents of the constitution are not questioned, if they are treated with respect, then how can we call media as the fourth pillar of the society? Objective and truthful reporting is always socially oriented, the CM said.
The CM said that inequality still prevails in the society, people who speak against the constitution still exist. The journalists should analytically write about the damage caused to the society by such people.
He said that Media sector has become business with no professionalism which is an unhealthy development.
Mysore , once was the centre of small newspapers and was known for its excellence in journalism.
If readers have lost curiosity and interest in media, it is because of lack of professionalism. Even if a crow sits on my car, you make news and discuss it. What is the problem if the crow sits and what loss it makes to the society, the CM asked.
What benefits the society, if you telecast the news about husband and wife fights . People will have no concern about media if such petty news are telecasted, he said.
The CM said that he will inaugurate the Pathrika Bhavana and training center for which he has laid foundation stone of and will provide necessary assistance.
District Journalist Association President ST Ravikumar presided over the program held in the divine presence of His Holiness Jagadguru Shivratri Desikendra Mahaswamy.
District In-charge Minister HC Mahadevappa, Chief Minister’s Media Adviser KV Prabhakar, District MLAs GT Deve Gowda, Srivatsa, Tanveer Seth, Harish Gowda, Ravi Shankar, Anil Chikkamadu, Ashraya Samiti Chairman Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah, MLCs Dr. D.
