Rumours of lockdown in State: Health Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar clarifies

Bengaluru, November 29, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Rumors are making rounds that a lockdown would be imposed across the state again, following the fear of the new COVID variant ‘Omicron.’ However the Health and Medical Education Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar today informed that there is no proposal of imposing lockdown and warned strict action against rumor mongers.
Addressing the media people in Bengaluru today, he said, “nobody should try to mislead the people by mentioning lockdown. There will be no lockdown till the State Government announces. Strict action will be initiated against rumor mongers.”
“A meeting with the officials concerned will be held tomorrow to discuss the Omicron virus. Various experts along with the health department officials will take part in the meeting. We have also invited the technical advisory committee members to take part in the meeting. Further discussions will be held about taking strict measures concerning this,” he added.
