IT park in Belagavi: Defence Department appealed to provide 750 acres in its possession

Bengaluru, Jan. 16, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Dr. C.N. Ashwathnarayan, Deputy Chief Minister and IT-BT Minister, Government of Karnataka, has appealed to Central Defence Minister Sri Rajnath Singh to provide 750 acres of land out of the 10,639 land that is in possession of the Defence Department in Belgavi, to establish IT-BT park.
The DCM met the Defence Minister on Friday at Yelahanka Air Base in Bengaluru and submitted the appeal. Ashwathnarayan also said that the Defence Minister had responded positively.it-park-belgaum-appeals-defense-department-750-acres-land
About 10,000 acres of land was handed over to the Defence Department earlier and the lease period will be renewed once in 10 years. However, the Defence Department is not using the full land and hence it is proposed to provide 750 acres of land to establish the IT-BT park in Belagavi. The DCM said that more than 60 lakh jobs will be created in North Karnataka if the IT-BT park comes into existence.it-park-belgaum-appeals-defense-department-750-acres-land
