BBMP gives green signal for Bengaluru Karaga mahotsav

Bengaluru, February 10, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has given a green signal for the historic Bengaluru Karaga Mahotsav, which were stopped from the last two years due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The BBMP officials have given conditional permission to conduct the Dharmarayaswamy, Drowpadamma Utsav.
The Bengaluru Karaga Mahotsav has a rich history of about 800 years. However, restrictions were imposed on conducting the Mahotsav from the last two years due to the pandemic. This year permission has been given for the same following decrease in the number of Corona cases. The Drowpadamma Karaga Utsav will be held on March 8, and preparations have already started.
Karaga Committee Chairman P.R. Ramesh had written a letter to the BBMP seeking permission to conduct the Mahotsav. The State Government has also given oral permission. More than 50,000 people are expected to witness the Mahotsav.
