15 hi-tech fraudsters held in Mysuru police

Mysuru, July 3, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The Mysuru city police have arrested 15 hi-tech fraudsters who were availing vehicle loans by creating duplicate documents.
All these 15 fraudsters had cheated Cholamandalam Finance, whom the police have held. The police have recovered 7 lorries, 2 cars, 1 bike, 2 laptops, and several documents from them and are on the lookout for the remaining fraudsters.
The fraudsters had availed a sum of Rs. 1,35,53,000 loan to purchase 10 lorries and had stopped paying the installment amount after a few months. When the finance company went to seize the vehicles they allegedly abused the staff and threatened to kill them.
In the meanwhile, the fraudsters had also changed the Chasis number of a few lorries and had sold it to others. Manager of Cholamandalam Finance, Mysuru Branch registered a complaint regarding this at the Devaraja Police Station, in Mysuru, regarding the lorry loan given during the year 2019-2020.
During interrogation by the Devaraja police, the fraudsters agreed to their crime. They had created duplicate RC, transfer documents, and had submitted them to the RTO office in Andhra Pradesh, without lorries! They had used duplicate local address documents for this, according to the police.
The fraudsters used to get RC cards without presenting the lorries for inspection. During interrogation, the fraudsters have agreed to have made about 200 RC cards like this! The police are digging to know more about the case.
