Nanjangud MLA makes serious charges against Mysuru DC

Mysuru, September 29, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The Huchchagani Mahadevamma temple eviction row has taken another turn with the Nanjangud MLA making serious charges against the Mysuru Deputy Commissioner.
The Nanjangud MLA Harshavardhan said that the Mysuru DC himself had ordered to evict the Huchchagani Mahadevamma temple in Nanjangud. However, the Tahasildar had submitted a report to the Mysuru DC requesting him to save the temple and to prevent demolition.
“But the DC questioned how and on what grounds will you save it? The tahasildar didn’t had immediately reply. The DC informed that they have evicted illegally constructed temples everywhere and even the Huchchagani Mahadevamma temple also doesn’t possess any legal documents. Hence, it should also be evicted,” the MLA alleged.
He also expressed his displeasure on transferring the tahasildar and informed that he would speak with the Chief Minister regarding that.
