ಮೈಸೂರು, ಸೆ.೦೫,೨೦೨೫: ವಿಶ್ವವಿಖ್ಯಾತ ಮೈಸೂರು ದಸರಾ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಮನೆ ಮಂಡಳಿ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಪಿರಂಗಿ ಪಡೆದ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ. ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆಯುಕ್ತೆ ಸೀಮಾ ಲಟ್ಕರ್‌ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಪಿರಂಗಿಗೆ ಪೂಜೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
ದಸರಾ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವ ಜಂಬೂಸವಾರಿ ವೇಳೆ ಬಳಸುವ ಪಿರಂಗಿ (ಕ್ಯಾನನ್/Tope) ಬಳಕೆ ಒಂದು ಶತಮಾನಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸವಿದೆ. ದಸರಾ ಜಂಬೂ ಸವಾರಿ ಆರಂಭ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಂತ್ಯದ ವೇಳೆ ಪಿರಂಗಿ ಸದ್ದು (Gun Salute) ಕೊಡುವ ಪದ್ಧತಿ ಇದೆ. ಈ ಪಿರಂಗಿ ಸದ್ದು ಆಲಯದ ಮಹಿಮೆ, ರಾಜ ಪರಂಪರೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಉತ್ಸವದ ಗಂಭೀರತೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
21 ಸದ್ದುಗಳು (21 Gun Salute) ದಸರಾ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. 52 ಸೆಕೆಂಡುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ೨೧ ಗನ್‌ ಶಾಟ್‌ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕು. ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತರಬೇತಿಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಸಲುವಾಗಿಯೇ ಅರಮನೆ ಮಂಡಳಿ ವಶದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಪಿರಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ತನ್ನ ಸುಪರ್ದಿಗೆ ಇಂದು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿತು.
ಪಿರಂಗಿ ಸದ್ದುಗಳನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಮೈಸೂರು ಅರಮನೆ ಆವರಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಬನ್ನಿಮಂಟಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ರಾಜಪರಂಪರೆಯ ಸ್ಮರಣೆ ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಈ ಆಚರಣೆ ಇನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಜತೆಗೆ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ದಸರಾ ಉತ್ಸವದ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ತಲುಪಿಸುವುದು ಇದರ ಉದ್ದೇಶ.
