ನವದೆಹಲಿ / ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಜೂನ್,17,2026 (www.justkannada.in): ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ವರದಿಗಳನ್ನು (Annual Statements) ಸಲ್ಲಿಸದ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ರದ್ದಾಗಿರುವ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳ ಶೀರ್ಷಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು (Titles) ಮರುಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ಭಾರತ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳ ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ರಿಜಿಸ್ಟ್ರಾರ್ ಜನರಲ್ ಕಚೇರಿಯು (PRGI) ಪ್ರಕಾಶಕರಿಗೆ ಕೊನೆಯ ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದೆ. 
ದೇಶದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನೋಂದಾಯಿತ ನಿಯತಕಾಲಿಕೆಗಳ (Periodicals) ಪ್ರಕಾಶಕರು 2024-25ರ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ವರ್ಷದ ಆಡಿಟ್ ಮಾಡಲಾದ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು (Annual Statement) 2026 ನೇ ಜೂನ್ 30 ರ ಒಳಗಾಗಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವಂತೆ, ತಪ್ಪಿದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರಿ ದಂಡ ವಿಧಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಭಾರತ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳ ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ರಿಜಿಸ್ಟ್ರಾರ್ ಜನರಲ್ ಕಚೇರಿಯು ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆ.
ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿರುವ ‘ಸಲಹಾ ಸೂಚನೆ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 11 (Advisory No. 11 of 2026)’ ರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ‘ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಯತಕಾಲಿಕೆಗಳ ನೋಂದಣಿ (PRB) ಕಾಯ್ದೆ, 2023’ ರ ಸೆಕ್ಷನ್ 7 ರ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿ ನೋಂದಾಯಿತ ನಿಯತಕಾಲಿಕೆಯು ನಿಗದಿತ ಅವಧಿಯೊಳಗೆ ತನ್ನ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ‘ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಸೇವಾ ಪೋರ್ಟಲ್ (Press Sewa Portal)’ ಮೂಲಕ ಆನ್ ಲೈನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದು ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯ ಸೆಕ್ಷನ್ 14 ರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಹಣಕಾಸು ವರ್ಷ ಮುಗಿದ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದೊಳಗೆ ವರದಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲು ವಿಫಲರಾಗುವ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಕರು ದಂಡನೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ದಂಡದ ವಿವರಗಳು:
ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಯ ಸುಸ್ತಿದಾರರಿಗೆ: ನಿಗದಿತ ದಿನಾಂಕದೊಳಗೆ ವರದಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸದಿದ್ದರೆ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ರೂ. 10,000/- (ಹತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ರೂಪಾಯಿ) ದಂಡ ವಿಧಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಮುಂದಿನ ಸರಣಿ ವೈಫಲ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ: ಪ್ರತಿ ನಂತರದ ವರ್ಷದ ಸುಸ್ತಿಗೆ ದಂಡದ ಮೊತ್ತವು ದುಪ್ಪಟ್ಟಾಗುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ (ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗೆ ಎರಡನೇ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ರೂ. 20,000/-).
ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ದಂಡದ ಮಿತಿ:
ಈ ದಂಡದ ಮೊತ್ತವು ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ರೂ. 2,00,000/- (ಎರಡು ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂಪಾಯಿ) ವರೆಗೆ ತಲುಪಬಹುದು.
ಕಾಲಾವಕಾಶ ವಿಸ್ತರಣೆ ಇಲ್ಲ:
ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಜೂನ್ 30, 2026 ರ ಗಡುವಿನ ನಂತರ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೂ ಕಾಲಾವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ನಿಯಮ ಉಲ್ಲಂಘಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಕರಿಂದ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿ ದಂಡ ವಸೂಲಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಡೆಪ್ಯುಟಿ ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ರಿಜಿಸ್ಟ್ರಾರ್ ಜನರಲ್ ರತ್ನಾಕರ್ ಪಾಮುಲಾ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Final Window Till June 30 to Pay Penalty for Cancelled Newspaper Titles: PRGI Advisory
New Delhi / Bangalore, June 17 :The Office of the Press Registrar General of India (PRGI), under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, has issued a final opportunity for publishers to restore their cancelled publication titles.
Earlier, several titles were cancelled due to non-compliance with the provisions of the Press and Registration of Periodicals (PRP) Act, 2023, specifically regarding the non-filing of Annual Statements. Following multiple representations from publishers and stakeholders, the government has decided to provide one last window for restoration.
Deadline: The mandatory compliance must be completed on or before June 30, 2026.
Publishers of the cancelled titles must pay the pending penalty and file their pending Annual Statement for the Financial Year 2024-25. This process must be done online through the Press Sewa Portal.
The advisory, signed by Deputy Press Registrar General Ratnakar Pamula, explicitly states that no further extensions will be granted beyond June 30, 2026. Failure to comply within the deadline will result in the permanent cancellation of the titles, and no further representations will be entertained.
