ಕೂಡ್ಲಿಗಿ, ಸೆ.05: “ಇಂದು ಸರ್ವಪಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಧಾಕೃಷ್ಣನ್ ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮದಿನದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ದಿನ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಬೇರೆ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರರಿಗೆ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಗೌರವ ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಗೌರವ ನೀಡಲು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ಸಿಎಂ ಡಿ ಕೆ ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ವಿಜಯನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕೂಡ್ಲಗಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಎಂ ಡಿ ಕೆ ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಜಾಸೇವೆ ಅಭಿಯಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಶನಿವಾರ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
“ಈ ವಿಚಾರವಾಗಿ ಸಚಿವ ಸಂಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ಇನ್ನುಮುಂದೆ ಶಾಲಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಮುಂದೆ Tr. ಎಂದು ಬಿರುದು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು. ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ 4.50 ಲಕ್ಷ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕಾಣುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಮೊದಲನೆಯದು ಜನ್ಮ ನೀಡಿದ ತಂದೆ ತಾಯಿ, ಎರಡನೆಯದು ನಮ್ಮ ಬದುಕಿಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು. ಅಕ್ಷರ ಸೇವೆ ಪರಮಾತ್ಮನ ಸೇವೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬಿರುದು ನೀಡಲು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
“ಯಾವುದೇ ಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಮಾಜವನ್ನು ತಿದ್ದಿ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡುವ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ವೃತ್ತಿ. ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸೈನಿಕ, ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ, ಕೃಷಿಕ ಆಧಾರ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಗೌರವ ನೀಡಬೇಕು. ಇದು ನಮ್ಮ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ” ಎಂದರು.
“ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗ ಮಾಡುವ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ 7.5% ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ನೀಡಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗುವುದು” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

Kudligi, September 5: “Today, we are celebrating Teachers’ Day to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Professionals in various fields receive recognition based on their profession. Similarly, the government has decided to provide professional recognition to teachers,” Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar said.
D.K. Shivakumar was speaking after launching the ‘Praja Seva Abhiyana’ in Kudligi, Vijayanagara district, on Saturday.
“We discussed this matter in the Cabinet. Henceforth, school teachers will be allowed to use the title ‘Tr.’ before their names. There are around 4.5 lakh teachers in Karnataka. In our society, we consider two as gods—the first are our parents who give us life, and the second are teachers who guide us in life. Serving through education is a service to the Almighty. Therefore, we have decided to confer this title on teachers,” he said.
