ಮೈಸೂರು, ಮಾರ್ಚ್,30,2021(www.justkannada.in): ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ, ಸೆಂಟರ್ ಫಾರ್ ಕೆನಡಿಯನ್ ಸ್ಟಡೀಸ್ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ವಿಭಾಗ ಹಾಗೂ ಸೆಂಟರ್ ಫಾರ್ ಗಾಂಧಿಯನ್ ಸ್ಟಡೀಸ್ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಬದಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳು’ ಕುರಿತು ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವೆಬಿನಾರ್ ಆಯೋಜನೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಮಾನಸಗಂಗೋತ್ರಿಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ವೆಬಿನಾರ್ ಆಯೋಜನೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇಂದು ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ.ಜಿ.ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ವರ್ಚುವಲ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ಇದೇ ವೇಳೆ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಗಾಂಧಿ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪುಷ್ಪಾರ್ಚನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ವೆಬಿನಾರ್ ಗೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ನಡೆಯುವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವೆಬಿನಾರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ವಿಚಾರ ಕುರಿತಾಗಿ ವಿವಿಧ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಭವನ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಪ್ರೊ. ಎಂ. ಎಸ್. ಶೇಖರ್, ಪ್ರೊ. ವಿಜಯ್ ಶೇಷಾದ್ರಿ, ಪ್ರೊ. ಜಿ. ಬಿ. ಶಿವರಾಜು, ಪ್ರೊ. ಎಲ್. ದೇವಿಕಾ ರಾಣಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಇನ್ನಿತರರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

UoM VC inaugurates two-day National Webinar
Mysuru, Mar. 30, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore today inaugurated a two-day seminar on the topic ‘Gandhi and his Thoughts in the Changing World,’ organized by the University of Mysore, in association with the Centre for Canadian Studies English and Centre for Gandhian Studies.
The webinar was inaugurated at a function held at the Vignana Bhavana, in Manasagangotri virtually. Dignitaries offered floral tributes to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhiji symbolically to inaugurate the program.
Various resource persons will participate in the two-day national webinar and share their thoughts and information about Mathama Gandhiji. Prof. M.S. Shekar, Director, Gandhi Bhavana, University of Mysore, Prof. Vijay Sheshadri, Prof. G.B. Shivaraju, Prof. L. Devika Rani, and others were present on the occasion.
