ಮೈಸೂರು,ಮಾರ್ಚ್,31,2022(www.justkannada.in): ಬೌದ್ಧ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ಸರಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಶೀಘ್ರವೇ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ. ಜಿ.ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಮಂಡಳಿ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಸದ್ಯ ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಸ್ಟಡಿ ಸೆಂಟರ್‌ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೌದ್ಧ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಶೀಘ್ರವೇ ಸರಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ಕೋರಲಾಗುವುದು. ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪವೊಂದನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಡಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದರು.
ಇದೇ ವೇಳೆ ದೂರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ 250 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತ ಐಚ್ಛಿಕ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾಜೆಕ್ಟ್ ವರ್ಕ್ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ 2022-23ನೇ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಾಲಿನ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಆಯವ್ಯಯ ಅಂದಾಜುಗ ಕರಡು ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಸಭೆಲಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಡಿಸಿ ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು.
2022-23ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನ ಪಿಂಚಣಿ ಬಾಬ್ತಿಗಾಗಿ 106 ಕೋಟಿ ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ಆದಾಯ 393 ಕೋಟಿ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ವೆಚ್ಚ 385 ಕೋಟಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದು, 8.47 ಕೋಟಿ ಉಳಿತಾಯ ಆಯವ್ಯಯ ಅಂದಾಜನ್ನು ಮಂಡಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ದೈಹಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಯೋಗ, ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ವೆಲ್‌ ನೆಸ್ ವಿಷಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಿ1, ಸಿ2, ಸಿ3 ಅಂಕಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸುವ ಸಂಬಂಧ ವರ್ಕ್ ಶಾಪ್‌ವೊಂದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ಸಭೆ ನಿರ್ಣಯ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿತು.
ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ದತ್ತಿ, ಸುಮಂಗಲಮ್ಮ ರಂಗಸ್ವಾಮಿ ನಗದು ಬಹುಮಾನ ದತ್ತಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ತತ್ತ್ವಶಾಸ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿಎಚ್.ಡಿ ಪಡೆಯಲು ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕ ನೋಂದಣಿ ನೀಡುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಆಗಿ ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ಲಭಿಸಿತು.

Proposal to commence Buddha Research Center: Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar
Mysuru, March 31, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore today informed that a proposal would be submitted to the government to establish Buddha Research Center.
In his address, at the fourth Education Board Annual General Body meeting held at the Vignana Bhavana, he informed that the Buddha Research Center is presently functioning from the Ambedkar Study Center. “A proposal would be submitted to the government soon to establish the Buddha Research Center separately,” he said.
The meeting approved the proposal of considering the optional subject of the distance learning, as project work, keeping in mind the education of 250 students under the distance learning system. The draft budget of the University of Mysore was also presented in the meeting and approval was obtained.
A savings budget of Rs. 8.47 crore was presented, with a sum of Rs. 106 crore reserved to meet pension expenses for the year 2022-23. The expected income is Rs. 393 crore and expected expenditure is Rs. 385 crore. The meeting also decided to conduct a workshop in the coming days to fix C1, C2, C3 score for physical education, yoga, sports, health and wellness subjects.
