ಮೈಸೂರು,ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ,2022(www.justkannada.in): ವಿಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ನಡುವಿನ ಹಲವು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಇದೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಸರಕಾರ ಪದವಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪದವಿ ಹಂತದಿಂದಲೇ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಗೆ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಪ್ರೊ.ಅಶೋಕ ಮಿಶ್ರ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿಯು ಕ್ರಾಡ್ ಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋಮವಾರ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ, ಸೃಜನಶೀಲತೆ, ನಾವಿನ್ಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಆಚೆ’ ಕುರಿತು ವಿಚಾರ ಮಂಡಿಸಿದ ಅವರು, ಭಾರತ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಿರುವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ. ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಗಳ ತಳಹದಿ. ಹೊಸ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ, ಹೊಸ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಹುಟ್ಟು ಹಾಕುತ್ತದೆ. ನ್ಯೂಜಿಲೆಂಡ್ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ದೇಶವಾದರೂ ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಹೊರ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕಿದೆ. ಪಿಎಚ್ಡಿ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಬೇಕು. ಹೂಡಿಕೆ ಏಜೆನ್ಸಿಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಿಡ್ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಅಮೆರಿಕ, ಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡ್, ಜರ್ಮನಿ, ಸಿಂಗಾಪೂರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಚೀನಾದಂತಹ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳು ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಒತ್ತು ನೀಡುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಬಂಡವಾಳವನ್ನು ಹೂಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತವೂ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಬೇಕು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳು, ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡಾಗ ಅದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಮೌಲ್ಯ ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ.ಜಿ.ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 28ರಂದು ದೇಶದಾದ್ಯಂತ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. 1928ರ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 28ರಂದು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಸೆಂಟ್ರಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಡಾ.ಸಿ.ವಿ.ರಾಮನ್ ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಚದುರುವಿಕೆಯ ಪರಿಣಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಮುಂದೆ ಆ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ರಾಮನ್ ಪರಿಣಾಮ (ರಾಮನ್ ಎೆಕ್ಟ್) ಎಂದೇ ಜಗತ್ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿಯಾಯಿತು. ಹಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಸತತ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಯೋಗಗಳ ಲ ರಾಮನ್ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಗೆ 1930ರಲ್ಲಿ ನೊಬೆಲ್ ಪಾರಿತೋಷಕ ಸಂದಿತು. ಇದು ಏಷ್ಯಾದಲ್ಲೇ ಮೊದಲ ನೊಬೆಲ್ ಭೌತವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. 1986ರಿಂದ ದೇಶದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಶಾಲೆ-ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳು, ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳು, ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು, ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಹಾಗೂ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಣೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ಕುಲಸಚಿವ ಪ್ರೊ.ಆರ್.ಶಿವಪ್ಪ, ಕುಲಸಚಿವ (ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾಂಗ) ಪ್ರೊ.ಎ.ಪಿ.ಜ್ಞಾನಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಇತರರು ಇದ್ದರು.

Science is the foundation for all researches: Prof. Ashok Mishra
Mysuru, February 28, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “There are solutions to a few of our problems in science. Hence, the government should give prominence for research activities from degree and postgraduation levels itself,” observed Prof. Ashok Mishra of the Indian Science Institute.
He participated in a seminar organized at the Crawford hall in Mysuru, from the University of Mysore, on the occasion of the National Science Day. In his address, he said, “India is a developing country. Science is the foundation for all research. Science creates the need for new technology and triggers new thoughts. Though New Zealand is a small country, it produces thousands of scientists every year. Hence, the government should give more prominence to the development of science in our country. The number of Ph.D. candidates should increase. Efforts should be made to allow bidding for research-based activities through agencies,” he advised.
In his address, Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, informed that National Science Day is celebrated across the country every year on February 28. “On this day, Indian Physicist Sir C.V. Raman announced the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1930. In 1986, the Government of India designated 28 February as National Science Day,” he added.
