ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ.ಜಿ.ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದು ನಡೆದ ಸಿಂಡಿಕೇಟ್ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಕೋವಿಡ್ 19 ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪದವಿ ತರಗತಿಗಳ ಆರಂಭ ವಿಳಂಬಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಸರಕಾರ ತರಗತಿ ಆರಂಭಕ್ಕೆ ಹಸಿರು ನಿಶಾನೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದರಂತೆ ಪದವಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪ್ರವೇಶಾತಿಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಕರೋನಾ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಕೆಲವೆಡೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪ್ರವೇಶಾತಿ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಜತೆಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸಹ ಶುಲ್ಕ ಪಾವತಿಗೆ ಸಮಯಾವಕಾಶ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು.
ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದು ನಡೆದ ಸಿಂಡಿಕೇಟ್ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಿ, ಮಾನವೀಯ ನೆಲೆಗಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪ್ರವೇಶಾತಿಗೆ ದಿನಾಂಕ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಲು ಸಮ್ಮತಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಅದರಂತೆ ಇಂದಿನಿಂದ 15 ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಪ್ರವೇಶಾತಿ ದಿನ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ಪದವಿ ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಹಾಗೂ ತೃತೀಯ ವರ್ಷದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅನ್ವಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

Mysuru, Dec. 30, 2020 (www.justkannada.in): Students seeking admission to various degree courses at the University of Mysore have good news. The University has extended the last date to pay the fees by 15 days.
This decision was taken at the Syndicate meeting held today under the leadership of Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore.
The commencing of classes has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was started only after the government gave the green signal. Hence, admissions were also provided to the students accordingly. But due to fear of the pandemic admissions were not as expected at several places. Moreover, many students had requested to extend the time of paying the fees.
