Belagavi, January 25, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “Though the number of corona and Omicron cases are increasing in the state, the State Government doesn’t have any plans to close the border areas of the state, including Belagavi,” opined Higher Education Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwathnaryan.
Speaking to the media persons today at Belagavi, he said, “measures have been taken in the border areas to check all those who come from other states. Monitoring and vigil have been increased. Anybody who has symptoms will be quarantined or controlled. However, transportation won’t be affected.”
He informed that the State Government has already taken certain measures like weekend curfew and other precautionary measures for 15 days to control the situation. “The government intends to prevent complete lockdown. Permission has been given to all the offices, pubs, bars, and cinema halls to function with 50% capacity,” he added.
