GP Elections: COVID-19 patients lose postal voting opportunity

Bengaluru, Nov. 27, 2020 (www.justkannada.in): While preparations for the forthcoming Gram Panchayat elections are on in the state, people infected with COVID-19 virus have lost their chance to exercise their franchise by post, and instead, they have to come to the booth to vote.

It is learned that the EC has arrived at this decision after discussing it with the Deputy Commissioners on the possibilities of illegal voting if postal voting is allowed.
