Aim to stretch Namma Metro to 1,016 kms: FM Nirmala Sitharaman

Bengaluru, Jan. 02, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today announced that the Govt. of India aims to stretch Bengaluru Metro rail to 1,016 kms, and announced a sum of Rs. 14,788 crore under Bengaluru Metro Phase 2A, 2B.
• 100% electrification of broad gauge within Dec.2023; 20,000 buses for city transport; transportation facilities to reach railway station on PPP modelBangalore's-1,016-kilo meter-metro-line-target-Finance-Minister-Nirmala Sitharaman
• Priority for auto-driven train engines; 46,000 kms of rail track already electrified
• Construction of 11,000 kms of National Highway to begin from next year. Rs.65,000 crore to Kerala for construction of 1,100 kms of National Highway; Rs.3.3 lakh crore under Bharath Mala Program has been given
• A sum of Rs.1 lakh crore is provided for completion of 675 kms of National Highway in West Bengal and 3,5000 kms in Tamil Nadu.
