After Puneeth, Ambedkar, Kuvempu, it’s now Chunchanagiri Swamiji’s ‘Controversial Circle’

Mysuru, January 19, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Even as the controversy over the renaming of the Matrumandali Circle in Mysuru City is still in the memory of the people, yet another similar controversy has arisen. This time it is the Dattagalli Ring Road Circle, which has created a controversy.
Naming of the Dattagalli Ring road circle in the name of the Adichunchanagiri Seer overnight, without getting the approval of the authority concerned, by some unknown persons has led to the controversy. A circle is formed at the junction that joins the ring road from the Andolana Circle in Ramakrishnanagara. It is alleged that some unknown persons kept a picture of the Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji of the Adichuchanagiri Math, with his name after the circle overnight.
Several people have alleged that a few fans and devotees of the Seer are behind this act. They have attempted to name this circle after the Adichunchanagiri Math seer on the occasion of his 77th Birth Anniversary, without getting permission from the authority concerned. Prior permission should be taken from the MCC to name the circle. In case if the rules are not followed the naming will become invalid.
