ಮೈಸೂರು,ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್,16,2026 (www.justkannada.in): “ನಮಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಕೊಡಿ” ಎಂದು ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ತುಮಕೂರು ಮೂಲದ ಪ್ರೇಮಿಗಳ ಜೋಡಿ ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಎಸ್ಪಿ ಕಚೇರಿಗೆ ಧಾವಿಸಿರುವ ಘಟನೆ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ.
ತುಮಕೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಗುಬ್ಬಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಸಂಗನಹಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಕೃಪಾ ಮತ್ತು ಧರಣೇಶ್ ಕಳೆದ ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಿನಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಮಂಡ್ಯ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕೆ.ಆರ್. ಪೇಟೆಯ ಮಹದೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಒಪ್ಪಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸುಮಾರು 2.5 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಈ ಜೋಡಿ, ಒಂದೇ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಒಂದೇ ಜಾತಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದವರಾದರೂ ಪೋಷಕರ ವಿರೋಧಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
ಮದುವೆಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಹುಡುಗಿ ತಂದೆ ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ತೀವ್ರ ವಿರೋಧ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಜೀವ ಭಯದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಓಡಿ ಬಂದು ವಿವಾಹವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ.
“ನಾವು ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಮೇಜರ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಒಪ್ಪಿಗೆ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಿಂದ ನಮಗೆ ಜೀವ ಭಯವಿದೆ. ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ನೀಡಿ,” ಎಂದು ನವಜೋಡಿಗಳು ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಇನ್ನೊಂದೆಡೆ, ಕೃಪಾ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ ಎಂದು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪಿಣ್ಯಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯ ತಂದೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ “ನಾನು ಕಳೆದು ಹೋಗಿಲ್ಲ, ಸ್ವಯಂ ಇಚ್ಛೆಯಿಂದ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ” ಎಂದು ಕೃಪಾ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Mysuru: A couple from Tumakuru has approached the Mysuru SP office seeking protection, claiming threat to their lives.
Krupa and Dharanesh, from Sanganahalli village in Gubbi taluk, got married four days ago at Mahadeshwara Temple in K.R. Pet, Mandya district. The duo had been in a relationship for 2.5 years.
Despite belonging to the same village and caste, their marriage faced strong opposition from the girl’s father, Shivakumar. Fearing for their safety, the couple eloped and got married.
“We are both majors and married with mutual consent. We fear threat from my father. We need protection,” Krupa said.
Meanwhile, her father has filed a missing complaint at Peenya Police Station in Bengaluru. However, Krupa clarified that she is not missing and married by her own choice.
