ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ಮಡಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ:  AIISH ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕನಸುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೂವಿನ ದಾರಿ.

ಮೈಸೂರು: ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಸುಂದರ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (ಎಐಐಎಶ್) ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಕ್ಲಿನಿಕಲ್ ಸೇವೆಗಳ ವಿಭಾಗದತ್ತ ಸಾಗುವ ದಾರಿ ಈ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಹೂವಿನ ಸುರಂಗದಂತಾಗಿದೆ.

ಕ್ಯಾಸಿಯಾ ಫಿಸ್ಟುಲಾ (Cassia Fistula) ಮರಗಳಿಂದ ಗುಂಪುಗೂಡಿದ ಹೂಗುಚ್ಛಗಳು ಮಾರ್ಗದ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಬಾಗಿಕೊಂಡಂತೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಬರುವ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪಾಲಕರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯೇ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವಂತೆ ಭಾಸವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಹೂಗಳ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಹಕ್ಕಿಗಳ ಕೂಗಿನ ನಡುವೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಮೌನವಾದ ಅರಳುವಿಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ವಿವಿಧ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯಗಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ, ಮಾತು ಮತ್ತು ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ.

ಈ ಶಾಂತ ವಾತಾವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಡಿಯಾಲಜಿಸ್ಟ್‌ಗಳು, ಸ್ಪೀಚ್-ಲ್ಯಾಂಗ್ವೇಜ್ ಪಥಾಲಜಿಸ್ಟ್‌ಗಳು, ವಿಶೇಷ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು, ಕಿವಿ-ಮೂಗು-ಗಂಟಲು ತಜ್ಞರು (ENT), ಮನೋವೈದ್ಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ತಜ್ಞರು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಅಗತ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ತರಬೇತಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹಸಿರು ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳು, ಹೂಗಳಿಂದ ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿದ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ನೆರಳು ನೀಡುವ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಪೋಷಕರಿಗೂ ಒತ್ತಡ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಶಾಂತ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಥೆರಪಿ ಕೊಠಡಿಯ ಕಿಟಕಿಯ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೂಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿ ಹರಿಯುವ ಲತೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದು, ಕಷ್ಟಕರ ದಿನವನ್ನೂ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹಗುರಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಈ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್‌ನಿಂದ ಅನೇಕ ಪ್ರೇರಣಾದಾಯಕ ಕಥೆಗಳು ಕೇಳಿಬರುತ್ತವೆ. ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಜುಗರದಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಒರ್ವ ಬಾಲಕ ಈಗ ತನ್ನ ಥೆರಪಿಸ್ಟ್‌ಗೆ ಹೊಸ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಲು ಆಂಗಣದೊಳಗೆ ಓಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬ ಮಗು, ಮೊದಲು ಕೇವಲ ಸಂಜ್ಞೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕವೇ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದದ್ದು, ಈಗ ಶಾಲಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯಿಂದ ಕವನ ಪಠಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಸಣ್ಣ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಇರುವುದೇ ಸಹನೆ, ನಿರಂತರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ — ಋತುಬದಲಾವಣೆಯ ನಡುವೆ ಗಿಡವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿ ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಅದು ಬಲವಾಗಿ ನಿಂತಂತೆ.

Just as every branch supports a different cluster of blooms, AIISH supports children with diverse communication and hearing needs, nurturing each one according to their unique abilities and strengths. Parents who arrive with worry etched on their faces often pause under these colourful canopies, taking in the scene as they walk towards therapy rooms, classrooms, and counselling centres.

The campus appears to whisper a quiet assurance: growth is possible here. Within these serene surroundings, teams of audiologists, speech-language pathologists, special educators, ENTs, psychologists, and other allied health professionals work together to design individualised intervention plans for children.

Early identification of speech-language and hearing problems, structured training, intensive therapy for hearing and communication needs, and guidance for parents, all form the foundation of this care system.Like gardeners who understand that every plant needs a different combination of light, water, and soil, the professionals at AIISH recognise that every child’s progress follows a different rhythm.

The campus itself plays an active role in this journey. Open green spaces, flowering borders, and shaded sitting areas create a calm environment that reduces stress for both children and parents.
