Serve for the development of the country, not for salary: Home Minister to trainees

Mysuru, February 2, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Home Minister Araga Jnanendra advised the police trainees to serve for the cause and development of the country and not for just salary.
He participated in the 45th Police Sub-Inspector’s Civil trainees outgoing parade, held at the Karnataka Police Academy in Mysuru today. He flagged off the parade on the occasion. All the candidates who have completed the training were given an oath and awards were given.
Additional Director General of Police P. Harishekaran, Police Academy Director Vipul Kumar, and other senior police officers were present.
In his address, Home Minister Araga Jnanendra expressed his view that the police forces play a vital role in preventing anti-social elements and crime in society. “Your work should instill fear among the criminals. The number of cyber crimes are increasing in recent days. Please try to increase your knowledge in this area. About 100 new police stations are being constructed in the State this year at an estimated cost of Rs. 200 crores. We are also constructing police quarters. Hence, you should work for the cause of the society, instead of working for a salary,” he said.
