Land mafia in Mysuru: RTI activist Gangaraju to appeal in Court

Mysuru, September 29, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Social activist Gangaraju has informed that he would appeal in court against the encroachment of government land in Mysuru, claiming that a survey has not been conducted under the leadership of the Deputy Commissioner and a report has not been submitted.
Speaking to the press persons today he informed that the government has canceled the team formed by the Survey Commissioner with respect to the encroachment of government land case in Mysuru and instructions were given to form a team under the leadership of the Deputy Commissioner and undertake survey and submit a report.
The government had issued orders to complete the survey works within three weeks and submit a report. But as the report has not been submitted it has made way for suspicion.
He said that the people have lost confidence in the government and officials concerned in this case and hence he has decided to appeal in court on behalf of the people. “I will lodge a complaint individually in the court in this case and make the elected representatives and officers as parties. All of them have to come to court. All of them are trying to conceal this scam. When I attempted to seek justice I was also threatened. The police are refusing to provide me protection,” he added.
He alleged that the government and officials concerned are not coming forward to investigate in this case as they have made a nexus with the land mafia people. We can’t believe the government officials. Hence, I have decided to appeal in the High Court, he mentioned.
Mysuru District Deputy Commissioner Bagadi Goutham has informed that the report with respect to the land survey would be submitted to the government within one or two days.
