Kickback allegations against former CM Siddaramaiah: Complaint to Lokayukta

Bengaluru, November 2, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): BJP leader N.R. Ramesh has lodged a complaint with the Karnataka Lokayukta alleging that leader of the opposition in the assembly Siddaramaiah had received Rs. 1.3 crore kickback while he was the Chief Minister.
“Siddaramaiah had misused power when he was the Chief Minister of Karnataka by receiving a sum of Rs. 1.3 crore as kickback from a person named L. Vivekananda. Vivekananda was appointed as the Incharge of the Turb club in 2014 for a term of three years after receiving this bribe,” he has alleged.
“Siddaramaiah had informed the Election Commission that he had received a lon from Vivekananda. However it was not so. As per the Union Home Department rules any gift or cheque or any other kind should not be received in turn for any appointment,” N.R. Ramesh alleged in his complaint.
