Rs.1.5 crore direct annual grants to GPs: DCM Ashwathnarayan

Ramanagara, Dec.1, 2020 (www.justkannada.in): Deputy Chief Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwathnarayan announced that efforts will be made to further decentralize administration and release a sum of Rs. 1.5 crore every year directly to each Gram Panchayat.
Addressing a press meet held at Ramanagara today, he explained that there are provisions to release more grants directly to the gram panchayats as per the 15th Finance Commission report. Accordingly, financial aid will be provided for rural development, along with transferring the responsibility of implementation of MGNREGA programmes to the respective Gram Panchayats, he noted.
