Reservation for Vokkaligas: I am not of aware of the deadline – CM Bommai

Mysuru, November 28, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): In his reply to the issue of giving a deadline by the Vokkaligas on giving reservations to their community, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai today said that he was not aware of it. “I will arrive at a decision after I receive the letter,” he said.
Speaking in Mysuru today, the Chief Minister said, “It is true that I am facing political pressure. I have to protect the interests of all the communities. Hence, I have to think in all the directions.”
“The Govt. of India is making preparations are being made to implement the Uniform Civil Code. However, no one from the Centre have consulted me till now. It is our party’s intention from the last 30 years to implement Uniform Civil Code. I have also collected all the information concerning this. We will take a suitable decision on this in the coming days,” he observed.
Chief Minister Bommai will leave to Delhi on November 30 evening to discuss about the Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute. In his response to this he informed that he will have discussions on the pros and cons of the dispute, apart from various other issues.
