Police return about 40 kilo seized stolen ornaments to its owners: Home Minister pats Police work

Bengluru, August 18, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): “My Police Department is my pride. The Police have cracked so many cases, which I feel very proud to mention,” said Home Minister Araga Jnanendra.
The police department has seized about 40 kilos of stolen gold and silver ornaments from culprits, which was distributed to its owners by Home Minister Araga Jnanendra. The police also exhibited thousands of kilos of drugs in Bengaluru, apart from another huge haul including Ambergris worth crores of rupees, which was actually stolen in several cases of robbery and thefts.
Speaking on the occasion, the Home Minister explained that he had also visited the cyber crime cell and felt happy about the functioning of the cell. “Even police from several other countries are trained here. Today our police have exhibited drugs worth more than Rs. 32 crore. We usually used to see all such things in films. But today I am witnessing it live,” he said.
“I wasn’t knowing what Ambergris means. Recently I came to know that the value of one kilo Ambergris is Rs. 1 crore! Our police have recovered that also. Thus they have contributed to the State’s exchequer. The police have been playing a viral active role in recent days in cracking drug peddlers, which is actually spoiling our youth,” he added.
