Major improvements in higher education: Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwathanarayan

Mysuru, December 3, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “Good governance should not be limited to just one day, it should be a continuous process. Transparency should be brought in administration through the adoption of technology,” observed Higher Education Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwathanarayan.
He inaugurated a program titled, “Good Governance Concept and Implementation in Higher Education,” held at Crawford Hall, at the University of Mysore.
The objective is to observe good governance month in all the educational institutions and Universities across the State. Let us all vow to bring improvement in higher education through this, he said.
“Today the University of Mysore is observing good governance month. It is indeed a matter of pride for all of us. Good governance should not be limited to only one day, it should be continuous. Good quality education is required for good governance. Therefore, we will bring reforms in higher education through the implementation of NEP,” he observed.
Nine varsities in Districts
Higher Education Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwathanaryan informed that there will be significant improvements in the field of higher education with the opening of 15 new varsities in the State. “Let the observation of ‘Good Governance Month’ be meaningful,” he said.
Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, MLA L. Nagendra, Chanakya University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Yashwanth Dongre, former Vice-Chancellor, Prof. S.N. Hegde, University of Mysore Vice-Chancellor Prof. H.Rajashekar, KSOU Vice-Chancellor Sharanappa, Registrar V.R. Shylaja, and others were present.
