Land mafia allegations against influential people in Mysuru: Inspection by officials concerned in the leadership of DC Bagadi Gowtham

Mysuru, January 7, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Following land mafia allegations by influential persons in Mysuru, a team of officials led by Deputy Commissioner Bagadi Gowtham today visited several places and inspected them.
The government had issued orders to the present Deputy Commissioner Bagadi Gowtham in September 2021, to conduct an investigation based on a letter written by the former Mysuru DC Rohini Sindhuri alleging land mafia, following an application submitted by an RTI activist. However, in October 2021, Dr. Bagadi Gowtham had written to the government appealing to provide him four months time to conduct the inspection.
The DC had appealed to the Principal Secretary, Revenue Department requesting to provide him time as the process includes a lot of activities like investigation on the land encroachments, issuing notices to the persons concerned, joint survey to measure the land, coordination in all the levels from the Revenue Department, Urban Development Authority, etc.
As the time that the DC had requested is nearing, a team of officials visited several sites located at Kergalli in Mysuru Taluk, Dattagalli, Yadahalli, Lingambudipalya and inspected.
