ಮಾನಸಗಂಗೋತ್ರಿಯ ವಿಶ್ವಜ್ಞಾನಿ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಡಾ.ಬಿ.ಆರ್. ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಸ್ತರಣಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದ ಅಮೃತ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡ ‘ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರೃ ಅಮೃತ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವ ನಡಿಗೆ-ಪ್ರಬುದ್ಧ ಭಾರತದ ಕಡೆಗೆ’ ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದಿಷ್ಟು…
ನಾವಿಂದು ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯದ ಅಮೃತ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವದ ಕಾಲಘಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದೇವೆ. ಚಲನಶೀಲತೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ದೇಶ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಹೊಂದಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿರಂತರ ಚಲನಶೀಲತೆ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಆತ್ಮಾವಲೋಕನದ ಕಾಲಘಟ್ಟವೂ ಹೌದು. ನಾವು ಆತ್ಮಾವಲೋಕನದ ಮೂಲಕ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು.
ಜನರಿಗೆ ರಾಜಕೀಯ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದೊರೆಯಬೇಕು. ಜಾತಿ, ಧರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ಪ್ರಬುದ್ಧ ಭಾರತ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಮೂಲಭೂತವಾದ ಬೇಕೋ ಮಾನವತಾವಾದ ಬೇಕೋ, ಮನುವಾದ ಬೇಕೋ ಮನುಷ್ಯವಾದ ಬೇಕೋ ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಮನುವಾದ ಬಿತ್ತುವ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಕಳವಳಕಾರಿ ಸಂಗತಿ ಎಂದರು.
ದೇಶದ ಶೇ.74 ರಷ್ಟು ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ಶೇ.1 ರಷ್ಟು ಜನರು ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾದರೆ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತರ ಸಂಪತ್ತು ಶೇ.35 ರಷ್ಟು ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ದೇಶ 45 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ನಂತರ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ನಿರುದ್ಯೋಗ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಹಸಿವಿನ ಸೂಚ್ಯಾಂಕ ಶೇ.94 ರಿಂದ 101ಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಎನ್‌ ಸಿಆರ್‌ ಬಿ ವರದಿ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ದಲಿತರು ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಕಳವಳ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವ ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ. ಜಿ. ಹೇಮಂತ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಈ ನಾಡಿನ ಪ್ರಖ್ಯಾತ ಬರಹಗಾರರು, ಚಿಂತಕರು, ಸಾಹಿತಿಗಳು, ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು, ಬೌದ್ಧಿಕ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಪ್ರೊ. ಬರಗೂರು ರಾಮಚಂದ್ರಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರ ಭಾರತದ 75 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ನಡಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಚಳವಳಿಯ ಕಾಲಘಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾನಾಯಕರುಗಳು ಅಂದು ಅಖಂಡ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದುಡಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದರ ಫಲವನ್ನು ನಾವು ಇಂದು ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಹಿಂಸೆಯಿಂದ ಗೆಲ್ಲುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಅಹಿಂಸೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನ ಗೆಲ್ಲುವ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಇಡೀ ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮೊದಲನೇ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಸಾರಿದ್ದು ಬುದ್ದಗುರು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಚಳವಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನೇ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಿ ಭಾರತವನ್ನು ಪರಕೀಯರ ಆಡಳಿತದಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು. ಬಾಬಾ ಸಾಹೇಬ್ ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಅವರು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಭಾರತೀಯರನ್ನು ಆಂತರಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಬಾಹ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು. ಇವರಿಬ್ಬರು ಸಂವಿಧಾನಿಕ ನೆಲೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರಬುದ್ಧ ಭಾರತದ ಹಾದಿಯನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದರು. ಇದರಿಂದ ಇಂದು ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಒಳಗೊಂಡ ಭಾರತವನ್ನು ಕಾಣಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಎರಡು ದಿನ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿರುವ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿಗಳು ಒಂದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಪೂರಕವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಉತ್ತಮ ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರುಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಭಾರತದ ವಿವಿಧ ನೆಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಇಂದಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಶೋಧಕರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಗರಿಕರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಕ್ತವಾಗಿ ಚರ್ಚಿಸುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಆಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಂತಸ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

Independence, equality should move towards Baraguru Ramachandrappa
Mysuru, August 12, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “Transforming the life of the last person of this country should be the real independence. Freedom and equality should go hand in hand,” observed renowned litterateur Baraguru Ramachandrappa.
He participated in a seminar on the topic ‘Amruth Mahotsava Nadige – Prabuddha Bhaaratada Kadege’ (Amrutha Mahotsava Walkathon – Towards building a matured India.’ “Today we are celebrating our 75th Independence day. No country can develop if there is no movement. The continuous movement will lead a country towards development. This is also the time for self-retrospection. We all should think about building our country by self-retrospection. People of the country should get political, social, and economical independence. A mature India should be built crossing caste and religions. We should ask ourselves whether we want fundamentalism or humanity, caste/religion discussions, or humanity discussion. It is very alarming to see instilling of pro-caste/ religion arguments among the people these days,” he observed.
“Only one percent of the people are enjoying 74% of the wealth of this country. While the lives of common people sank during the COVID pandemic time, the wealth of the rice increased by 35%. Our country is facing the problem of employment like never before in the last 45 years. The hunger index has raised from 94 to 101. According to the Govt. of India’s NCRB report, Dalits in our country are facing exploitation,” he informed.
In his address, Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore said, “Prof. Baraguru Ramachandrappa has very beautifully explained the path of passing 75 years after our independence. Great leaders have strived to build a strong country during their respective periods. It was Buddha, who spread the message of winning hearts through non-violence rather than violence. Mahatma Gandhiji followed the same and saved us from slavery. Babasaheb Ambedkar made very Indian internal and externally free. Both of these built the path of a progressive India under the constitutional framework. That is why we are today able to see an inclusive India.”
