Distribution of compensation to the kith of MCC employees who died from COVID

Mysuru, July 27, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): A sum of Rs. 5 lakh compensation was distributed to the kith of employees of the Mysore City Corporation who lost their lives due to the COVID-19 Pandemic in the month of June 2020.
Hon’ble Mayor (In-charge) Anwar Baig distributed the cheques to the family members of the deceased at a program held under the leadership of MCC Commissioner Lakshmikanth Reddy, at the Vanivilas Water Supply Board auditorium.
B.D. Manjunath (54) and Altaf (34) who were working as valve men at the Vanivilas Water Supply Board had lost their lives due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. A cheque for a sum of Rs. 5 lakh was distributed to their family members.
Speaking on the occasion MCC Commissioner Lakshmikanth Reddy informed that MCC is ready to face the Corona 3rd wave and all the arrangements which were made during the 2nd wave have been continued. “All the COVID care centers, testing centers are functioning. Above four thousand COVID tests’ are done every day in Mysuru. The District Administration is also handling vaccination campaign effectively,” he informed.
