Cong. ‘Madikeri Chalo’ postponed – Former CM Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru, August 23, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Leader of the opposition Siddaramaiah today informed that the Congress party’s ‘Madikeri Chalo’ has been postponed condemning the incident of hurling of egg at his car recently during his visit to Kodagu.
Addressing a press meet today, the former Chief Minister informed that the ‘Madikeri Chalo’ call given by the State Congress party has been postponed. “We won’t continue with the program. It is not my decision, it is the party’s decision. Protest should not be held violating the prohibition order. I respect the law of land. I won’t do it as the leader of the opposition. We won’t violate the law. The BJP people have done it intentionally. It is a political plot,” alleged.
“The BJP announced Janajagruti convention right after the next day we announced ‘Madikeri Chalo’, this is nothing but their drama. Deputy Commissioner’s orders mean government orders. As a responsible opposition, we will follow the government order. Hence, we have decided to postpone the protest that we had planned to be held in Kodagu district,” he said.
