ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಸಚಿವ ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್, ಈ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳು ವೈಮಾಂತರಿಕ್ಷ, ರಕ್ಷಣೆ, ಬಾಹ್ಯಾಕಾಶ, ಹೈನೋದ್ಯಮ ಮತ್ತು ಆಟೋಮೋಟಿವ್ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿವೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಈ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತದ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಗಮನದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ತಯಾರಿಕಾ ಘಟಕಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳು ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸುವ ಒಲವು ತೋರಿವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಆಟೋಮೇಷನ್ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಸರು ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಸೋಮ್ಫಿ ಕಂಪನಿಯು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಯೂರಿದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತಯಾರಿಕಾ ಘಟಕ ಮತ್ತು ಬಿಡಿಭಾಗಗಳ ಪೂರೈಕೆ ವಹಿವಾಟು ಆರಂಭಿಸಲು ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವ ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಅವರು ನುಡಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ವೈಮಾಂತರಿಕ್ಷ ಮತ್ತು ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಥೇಲ್ಸ್ ಕಂಪನಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಹೂಡಿಕೆಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನೇ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದೇ ರೀತಿ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲೇ ತನ್ನ ಮೊದಲ ತಯಾರಿಕಾ ಘಟಕವನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸುವಂತೆ ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವ ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಗಿಣ್ಣು ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಸೆವೆನ್ಸಿಯಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸಸ್ಯಮೂಲದ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸುವ ಡೆನೋನ್ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳಿಗೆ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತದ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಂದ್ರೀಕರಿಸಿ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಸ್ಥಾವರಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪಡಿಸಲು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Karnataka Delegation in France: Seeks Investments in Food, Manufacturing and Aerospace
Bengaluru: Karnataka is seeking to deepen its engagement with leading French companies and attract investments in manufacturing, aerospace, advanced engineering, food processing and emerging technology sectors, Large and Medium Industries Minister M.B. Patil said on Tuesday, the second day of his delegation’s meetings with companies in France.
Patil, who is leading a Karnataka delegation on a visit to France and the Netherlands, held discussions with senior representatives of Somfy, Thales, Mecachrome, Savencia and Danone, highlighting the State’s strong industrial, engineering, innovation and sectoral ecosystems and inviting the companies to explore expansion and investment opportunities in Karnataka.
During the meeting with Somfy, a French global leader in automation for openings and closures in homes and buildings, the Karnataka delegation encouraged the company to explore establishing manufacturing and assembly operations in the State, building on its existing presence in Bengaluru. The delegation highlighted Karnataka’s strong engineering, electronics and smart-building ecosystem as a potential base for Somfy’s future localisation plans.
In discussions with Thales, a French global technology group focused on defence, aerospace and cyber and digital technologies, the delegation encouraged the company to anchor a larger share of its future investments in Karnataka. Thales highlighted its plans to increase sourcing from India and expand its employee base as it scales up operations. The delegation invited Thales to participate in the Global Investors Meet next year and continue discussions on additional investment opportunities in the State.
The delegation also held discussions with Mecachrome, a French high-precision engineering and manufacturing group specialising in machining, sheet-metal work and assembly for aerospace, aero-engines, defence, space and premium automotive applications.
Patil encouraged Mecachrome to consider establishing its first manufacturing facility in India in Karnataka. The delegation highlighted the State’s aerospace and advanced manufacturing capabilities, including its engineering talent, precision-manufacturing base and established OEM and supplier ecosystem.
In the meeting with Savencia, a French family-owned dairy group specialising in cheese, dairy products and nutritional ingredients, the Karnataka delegation encouraged the company to consider establishing a South India manufacturing hub in Karnataka to cater to growing regional demand. The delegation highlighted the State’s strong dairy ecosystem and demand base and offered to facilitate connections between Savencia and dairy ecosystem stakeholders and farmer networks in Karnataka.
The delegation also invited Danone, a French global food and nutrition company operating across Essential Dairy & Plant-Based Products, Waters and Specialised Nutrition, to consider establishing a South India hub in Karnataka to support its next phase of growth in India.

The Somfy delegation comprised Ms. Jeanne Frangie, e-PMO Vice-President, and Mr. Yann Barou, Head of Sales for Expansion Markets. From Thales, Mr. Eloi Leonhardt, Global India Project Director, Thales Group, and Mr. Jean-Noel Bonnieu, Vice President, International Relations, participated in the discussions. Mr. Christian Cornille, Chief Executive Officer, represented Mecachrome, while Mr. Jean-Baptiste van Elslande, General Manager for APAC, Africa and Middle East, represented Savencia. The Danone delegation comprised Fabrice Salamanca, Global VP for Danone’s Public Affairs, Angel Ruggeri, Corporate Diplomacy Manager, and Agathe Comparetti, Public Affairs Global Team.
