Denotification allegations: Siddaramaiah demands govt. to file case against people who provide false information.

Bengaluru, October 17, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, Siddaramaiah has demanded the State Government to register criminal cases against the people who provide false information concerning the Lalbagh Siddapura land.
In a press release, Siddaramaiah has demanded the State Government to immediately release complete information of each and every case concerning the change of land use across Bengaluru and other places in the State since 2008.
“BJP is intolerant with the popularity of Congress. Hence, it has lost both its mind and tongue. They have started a publicity campaign especially targeting me. As a part of this a few media houses gave wide publicity mentioning that one of the BJP’s machine of lies has submitted an appeal before the Lokayukta. BJPs campaign of lies increases as the elections are nearing. Hence, I request the people not to consider BJPs arrows of lies seriously and instead verify it thoroughly,” he observed.
“Last week when I was engaged in the padayatra, the BJP people spread lies through the media mentioning that 2 acres, 39.5 guntas of land located at Survey No. 27/1, 28/4, 5, 6 in Siddarapura Village, Lalbagh was denotified by me, redone by me. According to that news the BJP has registered a complaint with the Lokayukta.”
But what is the truth? According to the information that I collected from the BDA, that land was acquired in 1948 for the Kanakanapalya 8th block and final notification was issued. But, for some reason acquisition of that land was dropped and is mentioned in the ‘Mysore Gazette,’ dated 11/2/1954 and 28/12/1954.
Though the BJP people are aware about all these, they are trying to instil lies among the people. What should the people who are claiming that Siddaramaiah has denotified the land which was actually denotified in 1954 be called as?,” he said.
