Country’s first digital water bank ‘Aquarium’ inaugurated

Bengaluru, March 14, 2022 ( Science and Technology Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwathnarayana today inaugurated the country’s first digital water bank ‘Aquarium’ startup, that is expected to create job opportunities for about 10 lakh youth in the areas of water conservation, hygiene, geological science and data sciences.
Speaking at a private hotel in Bengaluru today regarding this, he said, “Clean drinking water and water security plays a vital role in making India a 5 trillion dollar economy. By 2030, there is a need to create hydro entrepreneurs who are engaged in water conservation and science.”
“The new startup ‘Aquarium’ which has opened its head office in Bengaluru is indeed a matter of pride. The water and hygiene market in India present is worth 297 million dollars. However there is a need of developing an integrated approach in this area as it is unorganized,” he added.
Aquarium co-founder Vinay Rao, Aquacraft Group Ventures Director C. Shridhar were present.
