The protestors displayed slogans stating “BJP Bele Jaasti Maaduv Party,’ (BJP means price hike party). Meanwhile, the police stopped the bicycle jatha near Queen’s road.
Speaking on the occasion the Congress leaders said that they had taken out a bullock cart jatha recently opposing the price hike, but the government didn’t take any measures to control it, “So we have organized a bicycle jatha this time. We also raised our voice in the assembly against the price hike, but the Union Government has completely failed in controlling it, they have not even reduced the price of LPG cylinders. We will continue our fight,” they said.
