ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು,ಜನವರಿ,3,2024(www.justkannada.in): ಅಕ್ರಮ ಸಾರಾಯಿ ಮಾರಾಟ, ದೊಂಬಿ, ಮಟಕಾ, ಜೂಜಾಟ ಮುಂತಾದ 16 ಸಮಾಜ ಘಾತುಕ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಿಯಾದ ಆರೋಪ ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ನಾಯಕರು ಈತನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಪರಾಧ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಬೆಂಬಲವಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಬಹಿರಂಗವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕವಾಗಿ ಕ್ಷಮೆ ಕೋರಲಿ ಎಂದು ಸಿಎಂ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಕಿಡಿಕಾರಿದರು. 
ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಫೇಸ್ ಬುಕ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪೋಸ್ಟ್ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಸಿಎಂ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ, ರಾಮಭಕ್ತ, ಕರಸೇವಕ ಎಂದು ಸಮಾಜದೆದುರು ನಕಲಿ ವೇಷ ತೊಟ್ಟು ಮೆರೆಯುವ ಶ್ರೀಕಾಂತ ಪೂಜಾರಿ ಕಾನೂನಿನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸಮಾಜಘಾತುಕ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ. ತನ್ನ ಅಪರಾಧ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಸಿಗಲಿ ಎಂಬ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಧರ್ಮರಕ್ಷಣೆ ನಾಟಕವಾಡುವ ಇಂಥವರನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸದೆ, ರಾಜಾರೋಷವಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಾಡಲು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಚಂದ್ರನೂ ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಲಾರ.
ಕಳೆದ 2023ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ – ಧಾರವಾಡ ಕಮಿಷನರೇಟ್‌ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಂಜಾ ಮಾರಾಟ, ಕಳ್ಳತನ, ಸುಲಿಗೆ, ವಂಚನೆ, ದೊಂಬಿ ಮುಂತಾದ ಅಪರಾಧ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಎಲ್.ಪಿ.ಸಿ ( ಕಾನೂನು ವಿಚಾರಣಾ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಪತ್ರ ) ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟು 36 ಜನರನ್ನು ದಸ್ತಗಿರಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಕಾಂತ ಪೂಜಾರಿ 32ನೆಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ. ಈತನನ್ನು ಕರಸೇವಕನೆಂಬ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಗಡೆ ಬಿಡಬೇಕೋ? ಅಥವಾ ಆರೋಪಿ ಎಂಬ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂಧಿಸಬೇಕೋ? ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಲ್ಲ, ದೇಶದ ಕಾನೂನು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಎಂದು ವಾಗ್ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಅಪರಾಧ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗುವವರು ಧರ್ಮರಕ್ಷಕರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು ಕೊಲೆ, ಸುಲಿಗೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಇಳಿದರೆ ಅದನ್ನೂ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ನಾಯಕರು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆಯೇ?
ರಾಮಮಂದಿರದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ವೇಳೆ ಶ್ರೀಕಾಂತ ಪೂಜಾರಿಯ ಬಂಧನವಾಗಿರುವುದು ಕಾಕತಾಳೀಯ ಅಷ್ಟೆ. ಹಳೆಯ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸುವ ವೇಳೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಇತರೆ 36 ಜನರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಇವರನ್ನು ಕೂಡ ಬಂಧಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತೀಕಾರವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ತುಷ್ಟೀಕರಣವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಕಾನೂನು ಪಾಲನೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು, ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಸಿಎಂ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Srikanth Poojari, who flaunts himself as a devotee of Rama and a kar sevak in front of the public, is in fact a social miscreant in the eyes of the law. He is someone who uses religion as a shield to protect his criminal activities. If such individuals are not arrested and are allowed to roam freely, even Lord Rama cannot forgive this.
BJP leaders, who are protesting in support of a person facing allegations of involvement in 16 anti-social activities including illegal liquor sales, gambling, and Matka, should openly declare their party’s support for all his alleged criminal actions, or publicly apologize and withdraw their protest.
In the year 2023, within the jurisdiction of the Hubballi-Dharwad Commissionerate, 36 people were arrested in connection with crimes including marijuana sales, theft, extortion, fraud, and gambling. Srikanth Poojari is the 32nd person on this list. Should he be released just because he is a kar sevak, or should he be arrested for being a suspect? The BJP’s protest is not against our government, but against the country’s law and constitution.
If those involved in criminal activities claim to be protectors of religion and indulge in murder and extortion, will BJP leaders support them too?
The arrest of Srikanth Poojari during the inauguration of the Ram Mandir is merely a coincidence. While reviewing old cases, the police arrested him along with 36 others. There is neither revenge nor appeasement in this. The law has been enforced, and it has been done so in the interest of public.
