ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್, 07,2026 (www.justkannada.in): ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಪರಿಸರ, ಅರಣ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಹವಾಮಾನ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಸಚಿವಾಲಯ (MoEFCC) ‘ಸ್ವಚ್ಛ ವಾಯು ದಿವಸ 2026’ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಘೋಷಿಸಿರುವ 2025-26 ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನ “ಸ್ವಚ್ಛ ವಾರ್ಡ್ ವಾಯು ಸರ್ವೇಕ್ಷಣೆ 2025” ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ ನಗರವು ರಾಜ್ಯಮಟ್ಟದ ಎರಡು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ತನ್ನದಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ.
ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛ ವಾಯು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ (NCAP) ನಾನ್-ಅಟೈನ್ ಮೆಂಟ್ ನಗರವಾಗಿರುವ ದಾವಣಗೆರೆಯು, ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಆಧಾರಿತ ವರ್ಗೀಕರಣದಡಿ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಸಾಧನೆ ತೋರಿದೆ. ನಗರದ ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ಬಡಾವಣೆ – ಬಿ ಬ್ಲಾಕ್ (ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ವರ್ಗ 2) ಹಾಗೂ ಡಿಸಿಎಂ ಟೌನ್ ಶಿಪ್ (ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ವರ್ಗ 3) ಈ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿವೆ.
ಸದರಿ ಗೌರವದೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ಒಟ್ಟು ರೂ 25.00 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳ ನಗದು ಬಹುಮಾನ ಲಭಿಸಿದೆ. ವಾಯು ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ, ಪರಿಸರ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ನೈರ್ಮಲ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ಸತತ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.

The awards were announced by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India, on the occasion of Swachh Vayu Diwas 2026.
Davanagere achieved top rankings in the following population categories:
Population Category 2: SS Badavane – B Block
Population Category 3: DCM Township
Along with the award, the city has been awarded a cash prize of ₹25.00 lakh. This recognition stands as a testament to the continuous efforts of local residents and the City Corporation toward air pollution control, environmental awareness, and sanitation management.
