Amount of cash prize given to soldiers increased by five times: CM Bommai announces

Belagavi, December 16, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai today announced that the State Government has decided to increase the amount of cash prize given to soldiers by five times.
The State Government, which revised the amount of cash prize given to Shourya award winners, has decided to increase it by five times. The Chief Minister announced this in Belagavi today.
The amount of cash prizes given to soldiers according to the revision is as follows: Paramvir Chakra (from Rs.25 lakh to Rs. 1.5 crores), Mahavir Chakra (from Rs. 12 lakh to Rs. 1 crore), Ashoka Chakra (from Rs. 25 lakh to Rs. 1.5 crores), Keerti Chakra (from Rs. 12 lakh to Rs. 1 crore), Vir Chakra (from Rs. 8 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh), Shourya Chakra (from Rs. 8 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh), Sena Medal (from Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 15 lakh).
