ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮಾರ್ಚ್‌ 06: ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತದ ಮೊದಲ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ನಗರ (Science City) ಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದ್ದ 25 ಎಕರೆ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ದೇವನಹಳ್ಳಿ ಸಮೀಪದ ಆದಿನಾರಾಯಣ ಹೊಸಹಳ್ಳಿ 2 ನೇ ಹಂತದ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಜೂರು ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಸಣ್ಣ ನೀರಾವರಿ, ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಸಚಿವರಾದ ಎನ್ ಎಸ್ ಭೋಸರಾಜು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿರುವುದಿಷ್ಟು..
ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ 3 ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ನಗರಗಳಿವೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾಗಿರುವುದು ಕೋಲ್ಕತ್ತಾ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ನಗರವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮಂದಿರ, ಜೆ.ಎನ್.ಸಿ.ಎ.ಎಸ್.ಆರ್, ರಾಮನ್‌ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ, 400 ಕ್ಕೂ ಅಧಿಕ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಾಲಯಗಳು, ಐಟಿ-ಬಿಟಿ ಪಾರ್ಕ್‌ ಗಳಿವೆ. ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ನಗರ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಗೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸೂಕ್ತ ಎನ್ನುವ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವನೆಯನ್ನು ಆಗಸ್ಟ್‌ 3, 2023 ರಂದು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಈಶಾನ್ಯ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಸಚಿವ ಜಿ. ಕಿಶನ್‌ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಮನವಿಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಚಿವರು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ನಗರ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಗೆ ಮೂಲಭೂತವಾಗಿ 25 ಏಕರೆ ಜಾಗದ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಸನ್ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ 2024-25 ನೇ ಆಯವ್ಯಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಘೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವುದಾಗಿ ಭರವಸೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಭರವಸೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದಿಂದಾಗಿ ದೇವನಹಳ್ಳಿ ಅಂತರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಬಳಿ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಜಾಗದ ಲಭ್ಯತೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಪತ್ರ ಬರೆದು ಅಗತ್ಯ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲೆ ಮೊದಲ ಹಾಗೂ ಅತ್ತುತ್ತಮ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ನಗರ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಆಗಿಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

In a press statement, he revealed that the Department of Commerce and Industry has officially allocated 25 acres of land in Adinarayan Hosahalli Phase 2 Industrial Area, located near Devanahalli.

With notable institutions such as Bharatiya Vigyan Mandir, JNCASR, and the Raman Research Institute, along with over 400 R&D laboratories and IT-BT Parks, Bengaluru stands as a beacon of scientific excellence in South India.
This development comes following a pivotal meeting held on August 3, 2023, between Minister G. Kishan Reddy, responsible for Tourism, Culture, and Development of North Eastern States, and relevant stakeholders. Subsequently, the Union Minister conveyed the requirement of 25 acres of land for the proposed Science City, a request that was enthusiastically endorsed by the Hon’ble Chief Minister in the 2024-25 budget announcement.
Grateful for the steadfast support from both state and central authorities, Minister Boseraju expressed confidence in the forthcoming establishment of the pioneering Science City. He affirmed his commitment to liaising with the central government and overseeing the requisite measures to ensure the fruition of this ambitious project.
