ಮೈಸೂರು, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 12: ಚಾಮುಂಡಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಶ್ರೀ ಚಾಮುಂಡೇಶ್ವರಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆಯುಕ್ತರು ಭಕ್ತರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವತಃ ಅನ್ನದಾನ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಸಾದ ವಿತರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿಶೇಷ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
ವಿಐಪಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಬಳಸದೆ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಭಕ್ತರಂತೆ ನಿಂತು ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಭಕ್ತರಿಗೆ ಅನ್ನ, ಸಾಂಬಾರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಸಾದ ವಿತರಿಸಿದ ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆಯುಕ್ತೆ ಸೀಮಾ ಲಾಟ್ಕರ್. ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು, ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಹಾಗೂ ವೃದ್ಧರಿಗೆ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಕೂಡ ಸೇವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಆಡಳಿತಾತ್ಮಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗಳ ನಡುವೆಯೂ ಜನರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆರೆತು ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಆಯುಕ್ತರ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಭಕ್ತರು ಹಾಗೂ ಮೈಸೂರಿಗರು ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
“ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಎಂದರೆ ಕೇವಲ ಕಾನೂನು ಸುವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಕಾಪಾಡುವುದು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ಜನರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆರೆತು ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದೂ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ” ಎಂಬ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಆಯುಕ್ತೆ ಸೀಮಾ ಲಾಟ್ಕರ್ ಅವರ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಸಾರಿದೆ.

Mysuru, Aug 12: In a first-of-its-kind gesture, the Mysuru City Police Commissioner seema latkar personally served annadaana and prasada to thousands of devotees at Chamundeshwari Temple on Chamundi Hill.
Avoiding VIP treatment, the Commissioner stood among devotees and served food, giving priority to women, children and senior citizens. Police personnel also joined the service.
Devotees appreciated the Commissioner’s gesture, saying, “We need officers like this.” The initiative highlighted that policing is not just about law and order, but also about serving people.
