ಮೈಸೂರು ಜೂ.೦೫,೨೦೨೬: ಕೊಲೆ ಯತ್ನ ಆರೋಪದಡಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ ಬಂಧನದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಆರ್ಟಿಐ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತ ಗಂಗರಾಜು ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಗರದ ಎರಡನೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸತ್ರ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಜಾಮೀನು ಮಂಜೂರು ಮಾಡಿದೆ.
ಗಂಗರಾಜು ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಕುವೆಂಪುನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಲೆ ಯತ್ನ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಕಾರಿನ ಬ್ಯಾನೆಟ್ ಮೇಲೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ಕುಳಿತಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ವಾಹನವನ್ನು ಚಲಾಯಿಸಿ, ಆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪಾಯ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವರ್ತಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಆರೋಪದಡಿ ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಮೇ 21ರಂದು ಗಂಗರಾಜು ನನ್ನು ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ ಬಂಧನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಆದೇಶಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಬಳಿಕ ಜಾಮೀನು ಕೋರಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅರ್ಜಿಯ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ, ಇಂದು ಗಂಗರಾಜುಗೆ ಜಾಮೀನು ಮಂಜೂರು ಮಾಡಿದೆ.
ಜಾಮೀನು ನೀಡುವ ವೇಳೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯವು ಒಂದು ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಮೊತ್ತದ ಶೂರಿಟಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವಂತೆ ಷರತ್ತು ವಿಧಿಸಿದೆ. ಅಗತ್ಯ ಶೂರಿಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಷರತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಗಂಗರಾಜು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ.
ಆರೋಪಿ ಗಂಗರಾಜು ಪರವಾಗಿ ಹಿರಿಯ ವಕೀಲ ಎಸ್. ಲೊಕೇಶ್ ಅವರು ವಕಾಲತ್ತು ವಹಿಸಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾದ ಮಂಡಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಮುಂದಿನ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯಲಿದೆ.

RTI Activist Gangaraju Granted Bail in Attempt to Murder Case
Mysuru: RTI activist Gangaraju, who was arrested in an alleged attempt to murder case, has been granted bail by a court.
A case was registered at Saraswathipuram Police Station after allegations that Gangaraju drove a car while a person was sitting on its bonnet, thereby endangering the individual’s life. Based on the complaint, police booked him under attempt to murder charges.
The court had earlier remanded Gangaraju to judicial custody on May 21. During the hearing of his bail petition, the court granted him bail on Thursday and directed him to furnish a surety of ₹1 lakh.
Senior advocate S. Lokesh appeared on behalf of the accused and argued the case before the court. The case will continue to be heard in the coming days.
