ಮೈಸೂರು, ಜ.19,2026: ವಿಜಯಪುರ ಮೂಲದ ಕಾಂತರಾಜ್ ಚೌಹಾನ್ (35) ಅವರು ಮೈಸೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಟಿ.ನರಸೀಪುರ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಅರಣ್ಯ ವಲಯದ ರೇಂಜ್ ಫಾರೆಸ್ಟ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ (ಆರ್ಎಫ್ಒ) ಆಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಇಂದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಸಬ್ ಅರ್ಬನ್ ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಸಮೀಪದ ಮದರ್ ತೆರೆಸಾ ರಸ್ತೆ (ಬಿ.ಎನ್.ರೋಡ್)ಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಲಾಡ್ಜ್ ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೃತ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪೊಲೀಸರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಕಾಂತರಾಜ್ ಅವರ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತ ಮನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದಂತೆ, ನಿನ್ನೆ ಸಂಜೆ ಲಾಡ್ಜ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾರ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕಾಂತರಾಜ್ ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಪಾರ್ಟಿ ಮುಗಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ರಾತ್ರಿ ವಾಕಿಂಗ್ಗೆ ಹೊರಟು, ನಂತರ ಕೊಠಡಿಗೆ ಮರಳಿ ನಿದ್ರೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಮನು ಎದ್ದಾಗ ಕಾಂತರಾಜ್ ಕಾಣಿಸದೇ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಲಾಡ್ಜ್ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತ ಹುಡುಕಾಟ ನಡೆಸಿದಾಗ, ಅವರ ಮೃತದೇಹ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಪಡೆದ ಲಕ್ಷರ್ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಇನ್ಸ್ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಲೋಲಾಕ್ಷಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಮಹಜರು ನಡೆಸಿ, ಬಳಿಕ ಶವವನ್ನು ಎಂಎಂಸಿ & ಆರ್ಐ ಮರಣೋತ್ತರ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ಗೃಹಕ್ಕೆ ರವಾನಿಸಿದರು. ದೇವರಾಜಠಾಣೆ ಎಸಿಪಿ ಕೆ. ರಾಜೇಂದ್ರ ಕೂಡ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಲಕ್ಷರ್ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ತನಿಖೆ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Kantharaj Chouhan (35), a native of Bijapur, who was working as Range Forest Officer (RFO) at T. Narasipur Social Forestry, in Mysuru district, was found dead on the cross road near a private lodge on Mother Teresa Road (B.N. Road) near Sub Urban Bus Stand, this morning.
According to the Police, Manu, one of Kanthraj’s friends, had informed that last evening he was invited by Kantharaj for a party at the lodge where he was staying. Both, after partying had gone out for a stroll in the night and on returning to the room, they had slept. However, when Manu woke up in the morning Kantharaj was not be seen and on searching around the lodge, his body was found in the cross road.
Later, on being informed Lakshar Police Inspector Lolakshi and staff visited the spot and conducted the mahazar before shifting the body MMC&RI mortuary. ACP Devaraja K. Rajendra also visited the spot. Lakshar Police have registered a case and investigating.
