ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು,ಜನವರಿ,3,2026 (www.justkannada.in): ಹಿಂದೆ ಬೈಯ್ಯಪ್ಪನಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸರಕಾರಿ ಸ್ವಾಮ್ಯದ ಎನ್.ಜಿ.ಇ.ಎಫ್ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ 105 ಎಕರೆ ಜಾಗದ ಪೈಕಿ 65 ಎಕರೆ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ವೃಕ್ಷೋದ್ಯಾನ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಮಾರ್ಚ್ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಹಂತವನ್ನು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಬಳಕೆಗೆ ಮುಕ್ತಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಬೃಹತ್ ಮತ್ತು ಮಧ್ಯಮ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಸಚಿವ ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸಚಿವ ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಇಂದು ಎನ್.ಜಿ.ಇ.ಎಫ್. ಆವರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ವೃಕ್ಷೋದ್ಯಾನ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿಧ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳ ಉನ್ನತ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು.
ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಸಚಿವ ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್, ವೃಕ್ಷೋದ್ಯಾನವನ್ನು ಹಂತ 1, 1ಎ, 1ಬಿ ಮತ್ತು 2 ಹೀಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಹಂತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, 37.75 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. 1ಎ ಹಂತದ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಕೂಡ ಮುಂದಿನ 6 ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಗಿಯಲಿದೆ. ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಈ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ 8,500 ಬಗೆಬಗೆಯ ಮರಗಳಿವೆ. ಇವುಗಳ ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಈಗ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇವುಗಳ ಪೈಕಿ ಒಂದೇ ಒಂದು ಮರವನ್ನೂ ನಾವು ಕಡಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನೀಲಗಿರಿ ಜಾತಿಯ ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿ, ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಹಂತ-1ರ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದ್ದ 11.50 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ.ಗಳನ್ನು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಎನ್ ಜಿಇಎಫ್ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆಡಳಿತ ಕಚೇರಿ ಕಟ್ಟಡಗಳು, ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಶೆಡ್ ಗಳು ಕೂಡ ಸುಭದ್ರವಾಗಿವೆ. ಇವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಗಟ್ಟಿಮುಟ್ಟಾಗಿವೆ ಎಂದು ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಈ ಕಟ್ಟಡಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಸ ರೂಪ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅಗತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದು. ಕಾಂಪೌಂಡಿನ ಹೊರಗೂ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ 4.5 ಎಕರೆ ಜಾಗವಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿ 5ರಿಂದ 7 ಸಾವಿರ ವಾಹನಗಳ ನಿಲುಗಡೆಗೆ ಬಹುಮಹಡಿ ಪಾರ್ಕಿಂಗ್ ಲಾಟ್ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವ ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಇರುವ ಎರಡು ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಮೋಟಾರ್ ಶೆಡ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ 15 ಸಾವಿರ ಆಸನ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಇರುವ ಎರಡು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕ ಕನ್ವನ್ಷನ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾವೇಶ, ಸಮಾರಂಭ, ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವ, ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ, ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣ, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬಹುದು. ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ `ಇನ್ನೋವರ್ಸ್’ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನವೋದ್ಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಪರಿಪೋಷಣಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರವನ್ನು ಸರಕಾರದ `ಕಿಟ್ಸ್’ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನವೋದ್ಯಮ ವಲಯದವರು ಬಂದು ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಐಟಿ-ಬಿಟಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಯು ಇಲ್ಲಿ 100 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ `ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಜಿ ಇನ್ನೋವೇಶನ್ ಮ್ಯೂಸಿಯಂ’ಅನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ವೃಕ್ಷೋದ್ಯಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಶಿಲ್ಪಕಲೋದ್ಯಾನ, ಎನ್ ಜಿಇಎಫ್ ವಸ್ತು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಾಲಯ ಕೂಡ ಇರಲಿವೆ. ಈ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ಮಾಲ್ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲು ಸುಸಜ್ಜಿತ ಆ್ಯಂಪಿ ಥಿಯೇಟರ್ ಕಟ್ಟಲಾಗುವುದು. ಇದರಿಂದ ನಗರದ ಪೂರ್ವ ಭಾಗದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಇದು ಕಬ್ಬನ್ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಲಾಲ್ ಬಾಗ್ ಗಿಂತ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಹಸಿರು ತಾಣವಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶದ್ವಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಜಾಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೆಟ್ರೋ ಅಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧವಾಗಿ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಫೇಸ್ 1-ಬಿ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 26.23 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ವಿನಿಯೋಗಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಇದರ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಎಲಿವೇಟೆಡ್-ವಾಕ್ ವೇಸ್, ವೀಕ್ಷಣಾ ಗೋಪುರ, ಮುಂಚಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಇರುವ ಆಡಳಿತ ವಿಭಾಗದ ನವೀಕರಣ, ಓಪನ್ ಆ್ಯಂಫಿ-ಥಿಯೇಟರ್ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಫೇಸ್-2ರಲ್ಲಿ ಎನ್ ಜಿಇಎಫ್ ಫ್ಯಾಕ್ಟರಿ ಇದ್ದಾಗ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಶೆಡ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಪೋರ್ಟ್ ಹಬ್, ಕಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಗಳ ಕೇಂದ್ರ, ಸಮುದಾಯ ಭವನ ಮತ್ತು ಫುಡ್ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಇಷ್ಟನ್ನೂ ಸರಕಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಖಾಸಗಿ ಸಹಭಾಗಿತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವ ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಅವರು ನುಡಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ನಾನು ನಮ್ಮ ಊರಾದ ವಿಜಯಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ವೃಕ್ಷಥಾನ್ ನಡೆಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ, 10 ಕೋಟಿ ಗಿಡಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಿರುವವನು. ಹಸಿರುಸಿರಿಯ ಬೆಲೆ ಏನೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತು. ಎನ್ ಜಿಎಎಫ್ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಒಂದೇ ಒಂದು ಮರವನ್ನೂ ನಾವು ಕಡಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಬದಲಿಗೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಜತನದಿಂದ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಇದನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ತಾಣ ಮಾಡುವುದೇ ನನ್ನ ಗುರಿ ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವ ಎಂ.ಬಿ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

Bengaluru: Of the 105 acres of land that earlier belonged to the State-owned NGEF factory at Baiyappanahalli, a 65-acre Tree Park will be developed, Minister for Large and Medium Industries M.B. Patil said on Saturday. He announced that the first phase of the project will be opened to the public in March.
The Minister visited the NGEF premises and inspected the ongoing works related to the Tree Park. Senior officials from various departments accompanied him during the inspection.
Speaking on the occasion, Patil said the Tree Park is being developed in four phases—Phase 1, 1A, 1B, and Phase 2—at an estimated cost of ₹37.75 crore. He stated that the works under Phase 1A are expected to be completed within the next six months. The site currently has around 8,500 trees of various species, and their scientific names have been displayed. Emphasising that not a single tree would be felled, he said a scientific assessment would be carried out to decide on the future course of action regarding the eucalyptus trees on the premises. He added that ₹11.50 crore required for Phase 1 works has already been released.
Patil said the administrative office buildings and industrial sheds within the NGEF premises are structurally sound, citing an assessment by scientists from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). As the structures are robust, they will be refurbished and repurposed to meet current requirements. He further said that a multi-level parking facility capable of accommodating 5,000 to 7,000 vehicles will be constructed on an additional 4.5 acres of factory-owned land located outside the compound.
Two separate convention centres, each with a seating capacity of at least 15,000, will be developed in the existing electric motor sheds. These facilities can host meetings, ceremonies, anniversaries, conferences, seminars, and other events. In addition, an incubation centre for startups, named ‘Innoverse’, will be established by the government-run KITS, providing a dedicated workspace for entrepreneurs. The IT-BT Department will also develop a ‘Technology Innovation Museum’ at the site at a cost of ₹100 crore, he said.
The Tree Park will also house a world-class sculpture park and an NGEF museum. Clarifying that no shopping mall would be constructed within the premises, Patil said a well-equipped amphitheatre would be built to host a variety of activities. He noted that the project would greatly benefit residents of east Bengaluru and added that it would emerge as a green space superior to Cubbon Park and Lalbagh. Only a small portion of land required for the entrance gate falls under Namma Metro’s jurisdiction, and discussions will be held to secure it, he said.
“I have initiated a Vrikshathon in my hometown of Vijayapura with the aim of planting 10 crore saplings. I understand the value of green wealth. Not a single tree at the NGEF site will be cut; instead, they will be carefully preserved. My goal is to develop this into an international destination,” Patil noted.
Industries Department Principal Secretary Selvakumar, Commissioner Gunjan Krishna, Namma Metro Managing Director Dr J. Ravishankar, MSIL Managing Director Manoj Kumar, Infrastructure Department Secretary Vishal, IT-BT Department Secretary Dr N. Manjula, and the Minister’s Technical Advisor Arvind Galagali were present.
Key Attractions
Patil said Phase 1 of the NGEF Tree Park will include an entrance plaza, elevated walkways, cycling tracks, water cascades, springs and fountains, a food court, children’s play area, pet-friendly zones, toilets, and other essential infrastructure.
An amount of ₹26.23 crore is being spent under Phase 1B, which will include additional elevated walkways, an observation tower, renovation of the existing administrative block, and an open amphitheatre. Under Phase 2, the sheds constructed during the factory’s operational period will be redeveloped into a sports hub, an arts and culture centre, a community hall, and a food court through a public–private partnership.
