ಮೈಸೂರು, ಡಿ.೨೬,೨೦೨೫: ಅರಮನೆ ಸಮೀಪ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ ಗ್ಯಾಸ್ ಬಲೂನ್ ಸಿಲಿಂಡರ್ ಸ್ಫೋಟ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ಆತಂಕ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಘಟನೆಯ ಬೆನ್ನಲ್ಲೇ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ, ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಅರಮನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಇತರೆ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಬಂದ ವಲಸಿಗರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗಣನೀಯ ಏರಿಕೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದೆ.
ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಿಕ್ಷಾಟನೆ ನಿಷೇಧವಿದ್ದರೂ ಸಹ, ನಕಲಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು (ಸರ್ಟಿಫಿಕೇಟ್ಗಳು) ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿ ಭಿಕ್ಷೆ ಬೇಡುವುದು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಕೆಲವರು ಅಂಗವೈಕಲ್ಯ, ಅನಾಥತ್ವ ಅಥವಾ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಕಾರಣಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಂದ ಹಣ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ನಡುವೆ ಕೆಲ ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳಿಂದ ನಗರದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ವೃತ್ತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾಸ್ಕ್ ಧರಿಸಿ ಸಿಗ್ನಲ್ ಗಳ ಬಳಿ ವಾಹನ ಸವಾರರಿಗೆ ಸರ್ಟಿಫಿಕೆಟ್ ತೋರಿಸಿ ಕಿವುಡ, ಮೂಗ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಂಗವಿಕಲರಂತೆ ನಟಿಸಿ ಭಿಕ್ಷೆಬೇಡುವವರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಗಣನೀಯವಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ.
ಭಿಕ್ಷಾಟನೆ ನಿಷೇಧ ಕಾಯ್ದೆ ಜಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೂ, ಯಾವುದೇ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಕಾಣಿಸುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ಆಕ್ರೋಶ. ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳದ ನಡುವೆಯೇ ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು ನಗರ ಭದ್ರತೆಗೆ ಸವಾಲಾಗಿ ಪರಿಣಮಿಸಿವೆ.
ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ವಲಸಿಗರ ಅನಿಯಂತ್ರಿತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ ಮೈಸೂರು ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ತಲೆನೋವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಗುರುತಿನ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ, ಭಿಕ್ಷಾಟನೆ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಭದ್ರತಾ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಎದುರಾಗಿದೆ. ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಕೂಡಾ ಆಡಳಿತ ಹಾಗೂ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ತ್ವರಿತ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
