ಮೈಸೂರು, ಮಾ.೧೭,೨೦೨೬ : ಕೆ.ಆರ್.ಎಸ್ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಂಡ ಗೋಕುಲ್ ಚಿತ್ರಮಂದಿರದ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕ ಅಗ್ನಿ ಅವಘಡದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಚ್‌ಮನ್ ಒಬ್ಬರು ಸಜೀವ ದಹನಗೊಂಡ ದಾರುಣ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.

ಮೃತರನ್ನು ಮರಿಶೆಟ್ಟಿ (75) ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅವರು ಸುಮಾರು 45 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಗೋಕೂಲ್ ಚಿತ್ರಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಚ್‌ಮನ್ ಆಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಆವರಣವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛಗೊಳಿಸುವ ವೇಳೆ ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಬೆಂಕಿ ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಹಬ್ಬಿದ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಮರಿಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಹೊರಬರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗದೇ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ಸಿಲುಕಿ ಸಜೀವ ದಹನಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಕೆಲಸ ಮುಗಿಸಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ಮರಳದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿದಾಗ ಸುಟ್ಟು ಕರಕಲಾದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೃತದೇಹ ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿ ಘಟನೆ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಘಟನಾ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ದಳದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು.

ಈ ಕುರಿತು ವಿವಿ ಪುರಂ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮುಂದಿನ ತನಿಖೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿದಿದೆ.

Mysuru: In a tragic incident, a 75-year-old watchman was burnt alive after an accidental fire broke out at the premises of the defunct Gokul Theatre on KRS Road. The deceased has been identified as Marishetty (75), who had been working as a watchman at the theatre for nearly 45 years.

According to reports, the fire broke out accidentally while Marishetty was cleaning the theatre premises on Tuesday morning. Unable to escape the sudden blaze, he was trapped and charred to death on the spot.

Marishetty lived with his family in a nearby house. When he did not return home after work, worried family members went in search of him, only to discover his charred body at the scene, bringing the incident to light. Fire and emergency personnel rushed to the spot and conducted initial operations.

A case has been registered at the VV Puram Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
