Bengaluru, December 1, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): “If we have to take stringent measures in the background of the fear of the Omicron virus, we won’t hesitate to take it,” opined Health and Medical Education Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar.
Speaking to the media persons in Bengaluru today, he informed that he is visiting the Union Health Minister to discuss the Omicron virus fear. “It is a long time since the medical fraternity has taken the vaccination. A few of them have lesser immunity. Hence, plans are made to provide a booster dose for the health staff on a preference basis. I have discussed this with the Chief Minister,” he informed.
“The Omicron virus is dangerous than Delta. If required, we will take stringent measures. However, we ensure to take all precautionary measures to prevent such a situation. Everyone should be careful the government alone cannot do everything. The people should join hands with the government. There is no shortage of vaccines in the State. I request all those who still haven’t taken the vaccination to get it first,” he added.
